DANUBE CHIP & CTO

From spring to delta – flow and grow

“Stop your tides at Vienna, it loves you so much!” exclaims the choral version of the famous “Blue Danube” waltz composed by Johann Strauss II. Follow the invitation of this timeless masterpiece and join us for an outstanding experience.

The Danube river is a historically important geographical element that has been connecting people for thousands of years. Along the Danube there are 14 states. They are home to about 115 million people. In addition, Poland and Switzerland could also be integrated as countries with tributary rivers to the Danube. Furthermore, the course of the Danube is strongly reminiscent of a collateral to a closed vessel, and the Danube Delta is reminiscent of septal collaterals flowing into the RCA!

So what is more obvious than to launch a DANUBE CHIP & CTO project?

Our goal: To establish an innovative and collaborative cardiology meeting focused on complex interventional cardiology procedures, specifically Complex High-Risk Indicated Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (CHIP) and Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO).  Targeting clinical audiences across the Danube region.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: International experts from cardiology, surgery to radiology will share insights on large-bore access and mechanical circulatory support for CHIP procedures.
Multimodality Planning: Master CT planning for CHIP & CTO in complex anatomies and learn optimal viability assessment techniques like CMR, PET-CT and stress echo.
Live Cases: From local and international centres along with ample discussion opportunities and audience engagement.
State-of-the Art: Learn novel CTO techniques including HDR and TD-ADR.
Hands-On Training: Intracoronary imaging and CT – planning workshops
Angio review sessions: Small-group sessions reviewing difficult cases with experienced facilitators.
Networking: Foster academic collaboration and advance CHIP & CTO practices in Central and Eastern Europe.
